Hello, my name is Maddie, and I am the sole proprietor of UmbraWigs. I started cosplaying about 10 years ago, I was in the 7th grade at the time, and for years I was just ‘OK’ at wigs. I could sort of cut bangs, I didn’t really understand how spiking worked, and making a wig fluffy and voluminous was as foreign to me as rocket science.

It was around five years ago when Overwatch was at its peak of popularity, and I decided I wanted to cosplay Zarya! Her hair was short, but quite spikey – still, it didn’t feel like the most daunting wig in the world to undertake! And to my surprise, the wig turned out better than I could have ever imagined!
